Since the second financial infusion of NOK 300 million in 2016, TFS has relied upon annual calls for proposals to ensure the increase of competence at UiT The Arctic University of Norway. The Foundation’s “flagship” program is the TFS Starting Grant, a recruitment program which has helped to recruit 14 outstanding scientists originating from all over the world to UiT. In addition, the foundation has supported 3 Top Research projects and 1 competence project from within the field of mathematics (part of a national announcement from the Trond Mohn Foundation).
