Tromsø will represent the «nerve center» for preclinical research in 180°N. The activity in this project will be linked to research using cancer cells and mice. Radioactive tracers for PET and radioactive theranostic molecules for both imaging and therapy will be developed and tested in the new preclinical facilities at the PET Imaging Center in Tromsø. The research group for Nuclear Medicine and Radiation Biology at UiT – The Arctic University of Norway and the PET Imaging Center at the University Hospital of North Norway (UNN), will be the driving force in the preclinical project.
